Twickehma Road, between Mogden traffic lights and Crane Avenue

Reported via desktop in the Sweeping & Cleansing Hazard category anonymously at 16:13, Wed 12 November 2025

Sent to Hounslow Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8410200.

Yet again the road across the dedicated cyccle track is flooded, and the rain water is not draing away. This is not just due to leaf fall, there is a problem year round with the drains/gutters never been cleaned. The posts to seperate cycle track and road cause obstruction. As a cyclist I can tell you that street cleaning vehicles can not access the gurtter to clean anymore. Also I have to go outside of the sycle lane to avoid this hazard, and that is dangerous.

Updates

  • State changed to: Action scheduled

Updated by Hounslow Highways at 10:39, Mon 24 November 2025

  • There is no sign of any progress today, 15th December, I am concerned that all that will happen is the annual routine leaf clearance, for which no date has been given. The leaves are wet, compressed and slippery. Nothing will be done about the standing water problem in the cycle lane, which can turn to ice, or the lack of regular cleaning of the cycle lane due to the bollards badly placed to divide road and cycle lane.
