Overgrown tree too close to building causing subsidence

Recent structural engineer report RICS certified found that street tree planted too close and too high to our property and has caused movement to our front bay and cracking on the front patio due to roots. The tree is by far the highest on the road and towers over the property. The engineer says it needs to be assessed and removed if possible.
