Weeds that start from Number 2 all the way along the street

Reported via mobile in the Weeds on roads or footpaths category anonymously at 08:00, Wednesday 16 July 2025

Sent to Hounslow Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7884498.

Weeds that are taller than children on scooters are growing profusely on both sides of the road. It is unsightly, dangerous and unhealthy as household rubbish also accumulates in these areas. It also lifts the pavers making them hazardous as tripping concerns.

Updates

  • The weeds are still there and growing between the pavers causing them to lift and create tripping hazards as I know to my own cost. There are also weeds growing along people's walls, causing the street to look unsightly. Empty food packages that are dropped after refuse collection get stuck in them, adding to the unpleasant look. The use of weed killer would produce a more long standing solution.

  • I have received a reply and explanation but the weeds remain intact and with the rain we've just had, will no doubt grow and spread. It would be great to know where the money is being spent on keeping these issues at bay. It certainly isn't in our road.

  • Some of the weeds are dying because of the seasonal changes but the road is filled with weeds which makes it u sightly. Rubbish collects in it and it is a tripping and safety hazard as it causes the pavement to lift.
