Hello there,
The upper branches of the large tree are in contact with the top of our house. There were some large gusts of wind this morning whilst myself and my two sons were exiting the house at around 10:00.
There was a creaking noise followed by a large crash as part of the ceramic covering on the roof feel to the ground. It crashed into roof of the front porch, thankfully breaking its fall, and then tumbled onto the ground in front of us. I am estimating it weighed around 5kg so highly dangerous had it hit one of us.
We therefore need the tree to be cut back and as it belongs to the council we will need your help in doing that fairly urgently. The tree branches are unlikely to be able to grab anything further in the immediate days however it’s better to be safe.
I would also like to understand how to make a claim here also. As the tree has effectively been the cause of this, I would like to understand how we go about fixing this. I am really happy to showcase the issue or talk this through on the phone. Thank you.
