The kerb at the begining of vincent road has been damaged for several months now. A broken or damaged kerb can indeed be dangerous for a number of reasons. Here are some potential hazards it can pose and why I am reporting it , requesting the issue to be resolved with urgency.
Trip Hazards for Pedestrians: A broken or uneven kerb can cause people to trip, leading to injuries especially with many elderly and young children living in the aea .
Vehicle Damage: If a vehicle drives over a broken kerb, it can cause damage to the tires, suspension, or undercarriage, especially if the kerb is particularly jagged or raised.
Increased Risk for Cyclists: Cyclists riding close to the kerb are at risk of hitting a broken or raised section, which could cause them to lose control and fall.
Poor Drainage: A damaged kerb may interfere with proper water drainage, leading to flooding in certain areas. Pooled water can make roads slippery and dangerous for both pedestrians and drivers.
Reduced Visibility at Night: A broken kerb could be more difficult to see at night, especially if the area isn't well-lit, leading to a higher chance of accidents.
