The amount of weeds and small tree saplings that have been allowed to grow along the pavement and in the gutters is staggering and unacceptable. It gets worse each year because the weed removal is done too late. The plants have set seed by then which means even more weeds appear the following year. The council must look at an alternative plan to keep on top of this issue. I appreciate that glyphosate is no longer allowed but surely there are alternatives that could be used?
