Dear Sir/Madam I am writing to formally raise a serious concern regarding the state of Penwarris Avenue, Isleworth. The overgrown weeds on the pavements have rendered them extremely hazardous. As a resident, I have previously communicated this issue to the council, but it remains unaddressed.
The current condition of the pavements poses a significant risk to public safety. Specifically, I am gravely concerned for my daughter, who suffers from osteoporosis. On wet days, the likelihood of her slipping and sustaining serious injury, such as broken bones, is alarmingly high. It is disheartening that despite multiple notifications, this problem persists, indicating a lack of proactive measures from the council.
I must emphasize that the council has a duty of care to maintain public pathways and ensure they are safe for all residents, particularly the elderly and vulnerable. The failure to do so could result in severe injuries, and the council could be held liable for neglecting this responsibility.
I urge you to take immediate and effective action to clear the overgrown weeds and restore the pavements to a safe condition. Prompt intervention is essential to prevent any potential accidents and ensure the well-being of all residents.
Please confirm receipt of this letter and inform me of the actions that will be taken to address this matter.
Yours faithfully, Jahan Rahman
