Damage to edging of front drive in Percival Road.

Sent to Hounslow Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5869657.

REF: MMfootways.2024 The resident has called to report that Highways is tarmacking the pavement. When digging the old tarmac up the old tarmac outside 26 Percival Road they damaged the edging of the resident's drive.

You sent your person to inspect the damage, He didn't even knock on my door to let me know what he was doing. I happen to look about of the window to see someone taking photos of my drive. I went outside to find out who he was and what he was doing. He said he was from highways and he came to investigate the damage. He said he could see any damage. I explained that he would need to get lower to the ground to see the damage. Once he go lower to the ground, I showed him all the damaged concrete edges. I also shows him the damaged concrete post. I showed him all the photos and a video that I took. He advised me to upload it on here. He advised that he would report back that I have a video, and if someone could email me , I could forward the video, as I am unable to upload a video on here.

Some of the damage was purposely being covered by the tarmac, which I pointed out to your guy. This is unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour to treat customers property like this.

I am not happy with the amount of damage done. I spent a lot of money to get this driveway done. I only had this driveway made recently.

I am horrified to learn that my driveway has also been damaged where there are big holes in the brick work.

Attached is a copy of my receipt for the drive way. As you can see we have not had the drive way long, less than 6 months.

As you can see a lot of tarmac has been left on the edging. It's dry and cannot be removed.
