Just before traffic lights in right hand lane heading across Busch corner up the hill

Sent to Hounslow Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5000443.

Drain cover in right turning lane very loose and noisey. Tarmac is cracking because the drain cover is collapsed.

    Is there anyway of setting this up so it’s easier to get round? The traffic in the left hand lane don’t want to stop to let you in. There is no where to queue properly. Please help. Traffic jam misery

  • Why have Hounslow Highways taken upon themselves to reek chaos and unnecessary traffic problems, with the way in which they have laid out work barriers in an inappropriate manor?!! There needs to be an urgent review of Hounslow Highways management's actions- These barriers should have been removed several days ago. Traffic queues have extended as far back as Ivy bridge Retail Park. Time and money has been wasted and lost, sitting in long queues, because of poor management thinking and a don't care attitude from a poor co-productive highways team. If these barriers are not removed by Monday 13th November, I will be reporting this matter to the local authority ombudsman.

  • We live right beside this and have endured constant beeping night and day due to the merging traffic and queuing caused by the obstruction. Last night we were woken up 3 imes by honking at 2am, 3am and 5am. Then the planes start so there is no opportunity there fall back asleep before needing to get up for work. Our child keeps waking up too in addition to the above. It's grossly unfair.

    Very fatigued grump key healthcare worker with very important daily decision making not made any easier by sleep deprivation.

  • I am a frequent driver on this road and can vouch for the above comments above, this is incredibly dangerous set up of the road, if the concerned part of the road isnt safe just block the whole lane off instead of allowing cars to cut across to the other lane dangerously! I saw the hole and crumbling manhole be repair so why is this still a thing??

  • The barriers around this repair on the road need to be removed. On the side of the road heading north, it intrudes into the right-hand filter lane. On the other (southward) side, the barrier regularly falls over, often cuased by gusts of wind. This barier then block part of that road. Please remove, or repair the road asap. It is causing even more traffic issues, noise, pollution etc

  • Agree with all comments. Feels like it’s been there for weeks. It can be really difficult to get around the obstruction and even then the traffic lights to turn right don’t always turn green at each sequence adding to the inconvenience.
