2 trees at bottom of St. Mary's Grove have grown too large
Reported via desktop in the General Maintenance and pruning category anonymously at 13:26, Tue 3 January 2023
Sent to Hounslow Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4080727.
There are two extremely large trees at the bottom of St. Mary's Grove that are causing problems with excessive leaf fall in the autumn/winter, clogging the roads etc.
I also have concerns about the largest tree which is growing directly opposite our house and where the roots are (in my view) dangerously exposed above the pavement. Due to the the size and large leaf area in summer it looks unstable in high winds. I like trees very much but they don't mix well with buildings. Could these two trees be lopped substantially, or better still, removed and replaced with smaller species.

Hello,
The Council came and lopped one tree last week (very minimally in our view) but the other, larger tree, has been left alone and it appears the Council have decided not to lop the tree (the contractors arrived to undertake the work on 11th April but it seems they then left without undertaking the work, removing the tree lopping notices as they went).
Please advise whether or not the pruning will be carried out ?
