Hello, I am a resident on who lives on The Green Road in Heston and speaking on behalf of all residents on this road. As you can see there is access to a main school and large church on our road. There is continuous footfall of 1000+ people on a daily basis. The footpath on this entire road is broken from dips in the drives, large cracks on the tiles resulting to uneven surfaces. Now given the amount of rain during this time of the year we have huge puddles on the footpath. This is a major issue as I’ve witnessed children walking on the road to avoid their shoes / clothes getting wet and Senior citizens having issues walking to the church on the weekend. Also the water puddles are resulting in pools of water in drives and on the road. We have raised this issue in the past and nothing has been done. As a road community we feel let down that new footpaths have been installed on Erin Avenue, Winchester Avenue, but our road left like this with no attention. I would recommend a site visit anytime to see how bad the conditions have become. On a side note: 1) There are 3 trees are on the road and there has been is no upkeep on the bushes that form around them. 2) on a weekly basis we the only bin next to the school is always full, there is no regular collection and there are bags of rubbish left next to it, where I have to add to my household rubbish to keep it clean (avoiding foxes / rats etc) Please can this be reviewed as soon as possible along with the budget set for road / footpath resurfacing. Kind regards

This has not been fixed yet nor do I believe an inspector has been out to survey the footpaths. Getting more worse as the adverse weather picks up.

I made a complaint about the surface of the footpath last year, another year has passed as the condition have gone worse. Now school children, parents, elderly are walking in our drives and on the road to avoid their footwear and clothing from getting extremely wet.
No inspections have been made, I was promised in mid 2023 that this would be reviewed. Nothing has been done and it’s now extremely dangerous.
As the leader of the the street community, we have agreed that if there is no further action from the council to improve our street we will take action to repair ourselves using the same contractors that the council use and send the council the bill. It’s totally unfair that roads such as Duram Avenue, Winchester Avenue, which are behind The Green have had their entire footpaths re-done. Theirs is totally safe to walk on for all, whereas The Green has 1000+ walking on a daily basis due to the school and church and has been ignored.
We urge the highway team to make urgent repair and push this up on the schedule.
