Shop A frames and tables & chairs on the pavements.

Reported via mobile in the Complaint category anonymously at 14:56, Thursday 23 June 2022

Sent to Hounslow Highways less than a minute later

There are an increasing number of tables and chairs being put on the, already narrow, pavements of Devonshire Road and there is also an increase in advertising A frames on the pavement. Even the barbers shop now has seats outside and theTrompett restaurant has decided they want more space so have encroached on to the pavement. This situation is bad enough for normal people in general, but it was highlighted last week when I had to escort a blind person all the way along the shopping length of Devonshire Rd to avoid the said obstructions. Having tables and chairs in the parking areas in the road is a good idea and should enable the pavements to be kept free for pedestrians, but restaurants seem to want more space which is a health and safety problem.
