General litter on the pedestrian bridge crossing

Reported via desktop in the Street Cleaning Enquiry category anonymously at 11:30, Tue 27 July 2021

Sent to Hounslow Highways less than a minute later

Caller says there is lots of litter on the pedestrian bridge crossing which is next to Feltham Station and says that there is no bins there. Please can you look into this and also the resident states that one of the panels is coming off. Not sure if this is maintained by Hounslow Highways.

  • Litter, including broken glass, has not been removed from the bridge for over a fortnight. A dumped duvet has been there for a month or so.

The shattered glass panel was stuck together with tape some weeks ago but the tape is now peeling away. I am concerned it might shatter over the railway line or on someone passing.

Who is responsible for cleaning the bridge? Is it Hounslow Highways or the railway?

  • There is a lot of litter not just on the footbridge but also on the steps and ramps up to it. There are various flytipped items also. The council has established that the bridge, ramp, and steps are all part of the HH network. Please can it be cleared.
