Kerb and sloped paving uneven and steep at junction of Lawford Road

Reported via mobile in the Kerb not flush / no tactile paving category anonymously at 16:04, Saturday 21 November 2020

Sent to Hounslow Highways less than a minute later

Having taken my husband out in a wheelchair this week, I realised that it’s very dangerous to try and get the chair up and down pavements in some areas of Grove Park. This picture attached does not demonstrate how poor and unsafe the sloped edges of pavement are. This one is at junction of Lawford Road and Sutton Court Road/Burlington Lane. The slopes are not equal, uneven and too steep for wheelchairs, particularly in manual wheelchairs. It’s quite possible for the user to be tipped out of a chair with the sloped edges in their current state. Please could a programme of works be considered for the disabled sloped edges on all local pavements be reviewed as a matter of urgency. They are quite unsafe.
