No streetlights working in Elmwood Road

Reported via iOS in the Not coming on/ faulty category by Oliver Hill at 01:06, Sunday 11 October 2020

Sent to Hounslow Highways less than a minute later

Every streetlight in Elmwood Road W4 is off and the street is pitch black. Is this a new policy to save money or carbon emmissuons or has there been a power cut? Most of the street lamps also charge electric and plug in hybrid vehicles so presumably these cars will Not be able to plug in and top up their batteries. It is also not safe for pedestrians - given the sunsets soon after 7:30pm. Please can you urgently review, repair or replace the streetlights to get them working again. Thank you.

  • This continues to be an issue. Clocks go back shortly and the lighting issue needs immediate attention.

  • There is now official signage along the street warning about light outages.

This is worrisome as vehicle crime is on the rise in the area and this signage further encourages theft.

Please can you advise if the lights have been turned off for a reason? And if not, please can you look into this request and fix it as soon as possible? Thank you.
