Further to your email response on the 23/04/20 I confirm that 41 and 43 Northumberland Avenue are very disappointed with your assessment and wish to escalate our complaint further under the Councils complaints procedure. Can you therefore please advise the formal process? The Acer campestre ‘hilleri’ tree requires urgent pruning as its envelope encroaches less than 0.5m from the bay windows on both properties, which was not addressed on your previous response. Given the fact that the tree has grown with a lean towards the properties after damage from a HGV it has also caused significant damage to the paint work of the 3nr vehicles parked in the driveways at 41 and 43 with the sap that has fallen vertically. The tree has also now grown horizontally and is leaning on the incoming BT lines for both properties and I would respectfully request that these branches are cut back to ensure no further damage to cars and incoming high-level services. With regards to your comments on the tree pit, the tree zone pit is not contained with a tree pit as the roots have spread across the pavement and has caused the asphalt pavement to be raised in line with the roots. The tree pit has therefore failed. Please also note that a resident at 41 suffers from serious respiratory breathing issues and the close vicinity of the tree from the properties front bay windows. I would therefore kindly request that some form of pruning is undertaken as a matter of urgency. As council tax payers we would have expected a fair and reasonable response taking account of all the details provided and concerns raised, which have not occurred. I would once again respectfully request that these concerns are addressed in a proactive manner as waiting 2 years for the next inspection before an assessment is made is not acceptable.
